ARTISTS INFO

Grammy Award winners The Emotions – sisters Wanda, Sheila and Pamela Hutchinson – are best known for their million-selling single “The Best of My Love.”  Produced by Earth Wind & Fire’s Maurice White the song from their 1977 Rejoice album brought them worldwide fame.  They were also featured on Earth Wind & Fire’s smash hit “Boogie Wonderland.”  The sisters also had earlier hits on the legendary Stax/Volt label, including the single “Show Me How,” produced by Isaac Hayes in 1971. The Emotions continued to have charttoppers in the ‘80s and their songs have been featured on movie soundtracks (Son of Sam, Boogie Nights).

The smooth jazz lineup features:  Grammy-nominated guitarist Paul Jackson Jr. whose CDs have been released by Atlantic Records and Blue Note, and is best known to TV audiences playing guitar in the live band backing the singers on American Idol.  He has played on numerous recordings with such performers as:  Jeff Lorber, Sonny Rollins, Stan Getz, BB King, Ella Fitzgerald, Barbra Streisand, Madonna and Michael Jackson (Thriller, Bad, Dangerous LPs), among others.  Paul Jackson Jr.’s latest CD, Lay It Back is an R&B-inspired smooth jazz assortment of originals and covers.  Grammy and Emmy-nominated trumpeter/producer Greg Adams is a founding member of Tower of Power whose signature sound made the group’s horn section a sought out entity.   He is featured on over 500 recordings with such artists as Rod Stewart, Elton John, Lyle Lovett, Aaron Neville, Santana, Quincy Jones, Wilson Pickett, Josh Groban, Bonnie Raitt, Madonna and The Rolling Stones, among others.  Adams own CDs have topped the Smooth Jazz charts and his latest release East Bay Soul features several songs written with former Tower of Power bandmate Nick Milo.

Mistress of Ceremony, Vesta is best known for her hits “Congratulations” and “Sweet Sweet Love”. She has also appeared in several sitcoms and movies, such as “Posse” and “Sister Sister”. Along with her acting skills, she has been an on-air radio personality in Dallas, Texas for over two years. She has also received an Oscar Nomination for the soundtrack for “Mississippi Burning”. She is currently working on her new album entitled “Seven”.
