The First Annual Teamsters Black Caucus So. Cal Chapter Music Festival featuring R&B, Smooth Jazz and comedy will take place Saturday, November 7th at the Queen Mary Events Park, 10:30 a.m. -5 p.m.
Featured performers include The Emotions (“The Best of My Love”), jazz trumpet player Greg Adams, guitarist Paul Jackson Jr. and comedy relief from emcee Vesta Williams.
Bassist Freddie “Boom” Flewelen (also a 30-year Teamster member) who has played with a who’s who list of artists including The Emotions, Vesta and Paul Jackson Jr., serves as Musical Director for the festival.
This family event will also include a Children’s Activity Area, door prizes, food and beverages. All children under 9 receive Free Admission. Children’s Games and activities are FREE.
All proceeds will benefit Teamsters Black Caucus So Cal Chapter, a non-profit 501c3 organization. They will use funds raised from the event toward its various causes including, helping feed families at Thanksgiving and Christmas, toys for children at Christmas and scholarships for students in the community.
